The Master in Political, Legal, and Economic Philosophy (PLEP) is a Mono-Master Program (120 ECTS credit points) available as a two-year, full-time course of study. Students can enter the program each semester, in spring as well as in autumn.
The PLEP program offers an interdisciplinary analysis of practical political questions and problems of the social world and allows students to engage in intensive debate on normative dimensions of state action, non-state action, and economic action. The PLEP program provides students with a profound philosophical knowledge and introduces interdisciplinary research at the interplay between Philosophy, Political Science, Economics, and Law. Students will be qualified to understand social problems, especially in the realm of politics, economics, and law, by way of philosophical analysis and to analyze and assess solutions put forward as well as to develop them further. Students also learn to analyze crucial concepts and to understand the structure and functional principles of political and economic ways of decision making. Moreover, in working on specific projects students develop the competence to make fruitful interdisciplinary use of research literature, to think autonomously on the problem at hand, and to put the results down in scientific writing.

Der Masterstudiengang Political, Legal, and Economic Philosophy (PLEP) ist ein Mono-Master (120 ECTS Kreditpunkte) und wird als zweijähriges Vollzeit-Studium angeboten. Student*innen können ihr Studium jedes Semester, im Frühjahr oder im Herbst, aufnehmen.
Das PLEP-Programm hat eine interdisziplinäre Ausrichtung und beschäftigt sich mit praktischen politischen Fragen und gesellschaftlichen Problemen. Es ermöglicht Student*innen sich mit staatlichem, ökonomischem und zivilgesellschaftlichem Handeln auseinanderzusetzen. Das PLEP-Programm vermittelt nicht nur tiefgehendes philosophisches Wissen, sondern führt ein in interdisziplinäre Forschung an der Schnittstelle von Politik, Wirtschaft, Moralität und Recht. Student*innen werden dazu befähigt, soziale Problem zu verstehen und mittels philosophischer Herangehensweisen zu analysieren sowie Problemlösungen zu beurteilen und selbst weiterzuentwickeln. Ferner lernen sie zentrale Konzepte zu analysieren und die Struktur und Funktion politischer und ökonomischer Entscheidungsfindungen zu verstehen. Im Rahmen von Projektarbeiten werden Kompetenzen wie Literaturrecherche, interdisziplinäres Forschen sowie autonomes Denken und wissenschaftliches Schreiben geschult.
